FTTH - France out front in Europe; and other convergence news

Jupiter Research's Ian Fogg concluded yesterday that "the FTTH situation and necessary debate in France is far advanced of elsewhere in Europe".

Meanwhile, Intellect continues to feed into the Government's Convergence Think Tank here in the UK. You can read the latest contribution here.

It seems that the most media buzz about connecting UK homes to a fibre network continues to pivot around the sewers. Attention is on H2O Networks and their sewer fibre laying capabilities. I've yet to read however how these connections terminate exactly? Does one's toilet become a hotspot?
