MEETINGS

The Convergence Conversations are run as a series of meetings throughout the year. Started in 2006, they take place after work - with discussions focusing on the cutting edge topics at the time. The format is deliberately informal, with a chance for everyone to put forward their views in an open discussion and network over a glass of wine.

They are held as discussions, so the seating is parliamentary; the panellists (broadly referred to as ‘speakers’) sit anywhere and each is introduced by the chair, and invited to briefly share their outlook at the start. Everybody then gets a chance to speak, debate and discuss whilst through the evening the panellists get involved in the debate, responding to questions and viewpoints.

The evening starts at 5:30 PM for registration and chatting over wine & cheese, and the discussion itself kicks off at 6:00 PM. This conversation ends around 7:30 and attendees have half an hour of networking afterwards.
