Intellect takes Obama advisor to meet with Ministers

Intellect has been hosting Dr Rob Atkinson, the President of the US-based IT and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) and a member of the Obama transition team.  At a series of meetings with ministers, shadow ministers and other stakeholders, Dr Atkinson argued that £15 billion investment in the UK's digital infrastructure - including broadband, smart grids and intelligent transport - would boost the UK's economic competitiveness and create and sustain 700,000 jobs. 'The UK's Digital Road to Recovery', a report co-produced by ITIF and the LSE, was launched this week.
