Are Cars becoming more intelligent than humans?

‘All I want to use it for is to make phone calls!’ is a parental refrain that I often hear. Many people really don’t know what their mobile handset can do, and in many cases they often don’t care. Increasingly, this aspect of convergence is coming to bear in other sectors with a more traditional image than mobile telephony. A recent anecdote I heard brought very much brought this home.
